Boyle takes her place on World University Team
University of Ulster graduate Anna Boyle has been selected to compete for Ireland in the World University Games in Bangkok next month. Anna has built up solid experience of big championships which will stand her well as she goes out in the 100m and 200m for Ireland.
Anna is joined by a strong Irish team including Irish hammer record holder Eileen O’Keeffe, European U23 cross country silver medalist Fionnuala Britton, who will compete in the 3000m steeplechase and 5000m along with Mary Cullen.
The men will see David McCarthy double up in the 400m and 800m, and Queens Athlete Joe McAllister is set for the half marathon and will make a determined effort to climb the Irish road ranking lists.
The management team of Br. John Dooley & Teresa McDaid, in co-ordination with Athletics Ireland and CUSAI have selected the squad for the upcoming World University Games.
